CBRCanada welcomes you to join a dynamic national online celebration taking place June 1 from 4 to 6pm ET.
About this event
CBRCanada welcomes you to join this dynamic national online gathering. The event will have two main parts: a panel discussion and award celebration. First, we will hear from an exceptional group of panelists about the role of community-based research and the engagement for social justice given the complexities of this current socio-political and historical moment. Next, we will recognize recipients of the 2022 excellence awards: Emerging Community Based Researcher and Community-Campus Research Partnership. Community-based research has great potential to contribute toward transformative societal impacts that benefit and uplift marginalized communities across Canada and the world. This important work, however, often goes under recognized. CBRCanada awards excellence in community-based research and convenes dialogue on key issues and promising practices to advance community-based research that often goes under recognized nationally and globally.
