Cactus Rock Centerpiece Workshop

Start your weekend off on a positive note, with this creative DIY craft class for adults.
Grab a friend and signup or attend solo. When the world feels a little scary, you can comforted in our cozy studio, because we have gone above and beyond to provide one of the safest social environments possible.
During this workshop you will make a beautiful centerpiece that is sure to get people talking! Alan's friendly and mellow personality, makes this a relaxing experience, as he guides you through each step one at a time.
Using smooth rocks you will paint 3 different cactus styles. Using a gorgeous locally made ceramic pot, we will add gravel, soil and moss to fill the surrounding space to hold the rocks in place. At the end of this workshop you will leave with your finished project and it will be a plant that required no maintenance what so ever! Therefore, no green thumb is needed to keep this fabulous décor accent looking it's best.
Instructor Bio:
Alan Pippy is a Nova Scotian Artist, who has enjoyed drawing and mixed media art since an early age. In his younger years he enjoyed blacksmithing, sculpture, drawing and still life painting.
His most recent passion for creativity includes, building guitars and a wide range of mixed media arts.
Alan is friendly, soft spoken and enjoys sharing his love for art with others. He believes that there is an artist hidden inside of all us and that an open mind is the key to tapping into your creative self.
As an eco-minded entrepreneur, Alan is passionate about educating others about reducing their carbon footprint through sustainable living.
What can you expect during a workshop at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio?
▪ Reduced class size (4 people maximum per workshop)
▪ Social distancing, with individual trifold plexiglass cubicles for each participant (spaced 2 meters apart)
▪ We have a strict zero contact policy
▪ All of the supplies divided up in advance, with no sharing needed
▪ Wall mounted hand sanitizer, that we ask customers to use upon entry
▪ Controlled environment - with no foot traffic!
▪ Thoroughly sanitized before each workshop
▪ Masks are required when participating in any in-person workshop at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio. We know that it's not fun to wear them but, we want to keep everyone safe while, continuing to spread the joy of creativity!
