This month we'll be discussing conscientous objections and religious rights from an accessible legal perspective. What happens when a physician refuses to partake in medical assistance in dying on religious grounds? What about abortion? What if a physician refuses to provide an effective referral? Does it provide any weight to the refusal if the objection is religious versus non-religious?
Leading the discussion is Teddy Weinstein, JD, Articling Fellow at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
This is a multi-layered discussion, so individuals with various backgrounds are welcome, as always!
If you would like to simply attend and listen to the discussion, this is totally allowed and welcome. It is my utmost priority for those who attend to enjoy the event and feel comfortable! Free flowing discussion (with my moderation) is encouraged!
