CAFRIC International 4th Anniversary and Scholarship Awards

CAfRIC International invites members of the community to join them as they celebrate their 4th anniversary and present scholarships to qualifying applicants of the Hasham Family Scholarship.
This interactive event will feature a moderated discussion titled, “The intersection between religion, stigma and mental health outcomes of African and Caribbean Black (ACB) people”, and will include a panel of multi-faith religious leaders from the black community.
The discussion will be led by Rev Dr. John Muhia Karanja, a Registered Psychotherapist and Spiritual Care Practitioner at University Health Network (Toronto Western Hospital); and Rev Ann Muhia, a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner in Canada.
The Hasham Family Scholarships were five, $1000 scholarships donated by the Hasham Family to aid members of the Black Community who have been affected by mental health or addiction to access formal education of gain trade skills to help them integrate in the larger Canadian society.
