Calgary Shooting School - Phase 1 - Ages 13+

Tuesday Nights - 5:30pm-6:30pm - Feb 7, 2023 to Mar 28, 2023

In order to develop as shooters, young players need consistent deliberate practice. NBA Shooting Coach Dave Love has created the program and trained the coaches to help young shooters develop into GREAT shooters.

The Shooting School will be in 3 phases.

Phase One, our FOUNDATIONS phase, will be comprised of drills that Coach Love uses with his NBA players to help players IDENTIFY the areas of their shots that are holding them back, and then ISOLATE those habits.

This is a key phase in a players development. The reason most players struggle to make significant improvement in the shooting is because they either don't get specific enough about the parts of the shot holding them back, or they don't get deliberate enough in their practice. This program will solve both those problems.

Later phases will help players begin the process of applying the new habits into progressively more challenging situations, and finally applying them into GAME situations. This is the same process Coach Love uses with NBA players and youth group around the world.

Players will need to achieve a level of competency in their new habits by the end of the program to graduate to later phases. Should the player stay in the shooting school for extended periods of time, they may be encouraged to go back to Phase One at different times in order to refine certain habits as they grow. This is not a negative, but rather the process of becoming ELITE.

The curriculum of The Shooting School is designed so that while players may be doing the same DRILLS, they are each focussed on their individual habits. And the coaching ratio will be such that players get a lot of individual attention.

PLEASE NOTE: COACH LOVE WILL NOT BE A COACH AT THESE SESSIONS, but all coaches will be trained by Coach Love.
