Neil is proud to present his first ‘Alberta Staycation’ workshop. Focusing on the gorgeous sights and skylines of Downtown Calgary, your host, Neil Zeller will provide you with incredible Calgary photo opportunities in a safe, welcoming and relaxing environment. Neil is proud to have partnered with Hotel Arts and Round the Block Tours for this fun weekend of city photography.
After checking into Hotel Arts and settling into your room, meet the group for a welcome reception (hors d'oeuvres and beverages included) from 7pm-8pm prior to setting out on foot to explore the local sights, art and scenes of Downtown Calgary. Highlights will include Central Memorial Park, the Calgary Tower and Wonderland Statue at the Bow Tower.
Saturday will be in class from 9am-3pm, learning about Visual Story Telling. Any camera, skill level and age are welcome. After a break for a needed rest and time for early supper on your own we will reconvene by 5:30pm for a fully guided photo tour on a modern 24 passenger bus, to photograph all of Neil’s favourite photo locations around Calgary. You will photograph from some common locations and some secret locations as well. Highlights will include but won't be limited to a sunset location, the Peacebridge, East Village, St Patrick’s Island, McHugh Bluff, Scotsman Hill and Edworthy Park. We will return to Hotel Arts by Midnight for a good night’s sleep.
On Sunday morning, it's your turn to show everyone your favourite photos. An included buffet breakfast will pair nicely with a slideshow of your favourite photos. Neil will curate and support you to have your photos ready to show.
