After over a decade of performances and residencies in the world’s most esteemed venues and festivals, numerous critically acclaimed recordings, and significant awards, the Calidore String Quartet is recognized as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of a vast repertory. Their EKSM program includes Beethoven’s Op 5 no 1 in F major, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 7 in F major, Op 5, Razumovsky, No. 1 and EKSM co-Artistic Director Lorraine Min will join the quartet after intermission for Schumann’s Piano Quintet Op 44 in E flat major.

EKSM is the longest-running summer classical music event in greater Victoria, BC. We are a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organization. Since 1987, we have been presenting world-class chamber music concerts at affordable prices. Performances are by artists among the finest in BC as well as distinguished guests from around the world. This popular festival takes place in a superb, intimate venue and a wonderful local winery, both locations surrounded by the relaxing natural beauty of the Saanich Peninsula.
