Event description

Description

Due to unforseen circumstances, the CalWHO Secretariat has decided to move the conference to a later date in November. Please do not hesitate to contact us at calwho2013@gmail.com for more details.

The Calgary World Health Organization Simulation (CalWHO) is an annual 2-day, interdisciplinary global health conference at the University of Calgary Health Sciences Centre that brings together students from across Canada and the US to debate and explore complex public health policy issues. It aims to increase awareness and interest in tackling global health inequities, and to provide students with a platform to develop their leadership potential and affect change at the institutional level. Our theme this year is Big Data, Privacy and the Rise of Genomic Testing.

Register for the full two-day conference as a country delegate and work with fellow delegates to resolve complex issues around big data, privacy and the rise of genomic testing ($75) - includes breakfast, lunch and a social event on Saturday evening.

1) All delegates should send an email to calwho2013@gmail.com with their top 5 choices for countries along with their attached Eventbrite ticket receipt in order to register for a country at CalWHO 2019. Countries will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis (so register ASAP).

2) For those with dietary restrictions, please specify in the following form.
