Description

The CAN-BIND Program invites you to its third annual Family and Friends Day. Our 2018 event theme is exercise, nutrition and wellness and is set to take place on Bell Let's Talk Day 2018 (January 31st). This event is organised to celebrate, appreciate and provide study updates to CAN-BIND study participants, their friends and families.

Event to Include:

Research updates on the CAN-BIND program including the Wellness study, special clinical and lived experience guest speakers, research information booths, short pre-event Physical Exercise and Wellness workshops, raffle prizes and more...

Who Should Attend:

Individuals who participate(d) in any CAN-BIND research, their families and/or friends, partners, advocates, researchers, clinicians in mental health and anyone (public or otherwise) who would like to learn more about the CAN-BIND program

FAQs


What time do the doors open? (EDIT)

Doors will open at 4:45pm for attendees wishing to participate in one of the Physical Exercise and Wellness workshops. Each session will run in parallel for 30 minutes from 5:00pm-5:30pm. Doors and registration for the main event will open at 5:30pm. The main event will run from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Volunteers will be present to direct you to the exhibition space on the 2nd floor or follow the signage in the building. Please try to arrive a few minutes early in order to register, pick up your information package and enjoy light refreshments.


How do I get to the event?

Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute (209 Victoria Street), is located just north of St. Michael's Hospital in the downtown Toronto, at the northeast corner of Victoria Street and Shuter Street. The event will take place in the Main Exhibition Space. Please view map.


Public Transit

If travelling by public transit, the closest TTC stations are either Dundas or Queen Station.

Accessibility

The Li Ka Shing building is accessible from street level and from the main hospital via the bridge from the third floor Cardinal Carter wing. Wheel Trans pick up and drop-off is located at the Queen Street entrance at the south end of the hospital.
