Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge
Event Information
About this Event
Students in grades 6-9 located anywhere in Canada can compete alone or with a partner in the comfort of their own homes.
The first of the six challenges is happening October 17-18, 2020.
Our Mission Statements
C3 aims to bring two critical concepts to its participants.
#1: Integration of the Arts into STEM fields
To promote a more creative and holistic approach to learning, C3 challenges allow for hands-on exploration of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) disciplines. All of our challenges have been designed to provide an in-depth learning opportunity involving each of the five STEAM pillars.
#2: Thinking Outside the Box
C3 is structured in an open-ended manner, with a scoring system designed to credit the most innovative and original solutions. All C3 challenges are designed to have multiple correct solutions.
FAQ
How will the challenges work?
Each challenge will be posted on the C3 website http://www.teamupscience.com/c3/ at 12:00AM MDT on the date of the challenge and will close at 11:59PM MDT the following day. Participants will have the 48-hour period to complete the challenge, and upload their completed project to the C3 Team Drive. Project submissions will be judged and scores will be released on the C3 website about a week after the challenge closes.
What do I need to do before the C3 challenges?
One week before each C3 challenge date, the C3 team will release a tutorial video on the C3 website. The tutorial videos outline background information relating to each challenge. While it is not mandatory for participants to watch these videos, they are provided to give you a better understanding of the concepts explored in the challenges, and may help your performance in the competition!
