It all started with a tweet from CANADALAND and ThePublicRecord.ca patron Michael Moniz:

@JesseBrown just became a patron. Happy to help. Now how about a feature on @JoeyColeman another independent media voice?

— Michael Moniz (@mikesmoniz) October 6, 2014

@mikesmoniz @JoeyColeman amazing, thanks Michael! Joey is on my list- I'd love to have him on the show, if he'd do it...

— Jesse Brown (@JesseBrown) October 6, 2014

@JoeyColeman @JesseBrown my 2 favourite Canadian independent media voices together at last! A news nerd junkies dream!

CANADALAND is coming to Hamilton, joining ThePublicRecord.ca's conversation series for an live discussion about journalism, media, investigative reporting, the information age, and more at The Hamilton Public Library on January 9, 2015 7pm to 10pm.

Jesse Brown of CANADALAND will record his podcast live with a panel discussion about Hamilton's unique media landscape.

ThePublicRecord.ca will follow with a panel discussion moderated by Hamilton Public Library Chief Librarian Paul Takala on the changing character of journalism and the challenges of rebuilding journalism in the information age.

TPR's panel will include Jesse Brown and Joey Coleman. With libraries changing models much like journalism much, Chief Librarian Paul Takala will be able to ask our panel insightful questions and provide an informative discussion.
