The Canadian Masterclass Series is an unforgettable opportunity for aspiring dancers all over the country to take part and train with one of this generation’s most gifted and prolific artists, Ms. Chan Hon Goh C.M. D.Litt., former Principal Dancer of The National Ballet of Canada, and Director of Goh Ballet Academy. Tailored to students 10 and up, Ms. Goh will mentor participants on how to rekindle the vibrancy of performing variations. With the world gradually embracing a return to live performances, the focus of Ms. Goh’s masterclasses will be to nurture students to refine technical execution and elevate performance interpretations empowering them to let individuality shine. Participants are eligible for select scholarship awards, totalling $10,000 throughout the entire tour. All participants of the masterclasses are eligible for consideration and winners are chosen based on artistic potential and technique. (Conditions Apply)
All participants and parents are invited to join Ms. Goh for a special 'Meet the Artist' Q&A as a part of the Masterclass. Students will have the chance to submit questions for Ms. Goh to answer on the day, ahead of the session. This Q&A is scheduled from 2:15pm-2:45pm PST.
Eligibility
Students with at least three years of ballet training ages 10 to 19 years with minimum Grade 4 RAD or equivalent are welcome to join the Masterclasses.
Two sessions will take place, please be sure to sign up for the appropriate session based on your skill & age level.
PIQUE (Junior Level) 1:00pm - 2:15pm PST - Ages 10 - 13 & completed RAD Grade 4 to Intermediate or equivalent
JETE (Senior Level) 2:45pm - 4:00pm PST - Ages 14 - 19 & completed RAD Intermediate to Solo Seal or equivalent
