Description

Canadian Multiculturalism day is celebrated in on June 27 of each year to celebrate the diversity and commitment to democracy, equality and mutual respect and to appreciate the contributions of the various multicultural groups and communities to Canadian society. This year, Asian Heritage Foundation has planned a forum with a distinguished panel of speakers to talk about the significance of multiculturalism in the Canadian society and how various efforts in different fields are helping shape the future of the society.

Speakers:

  • Michael Gottheil, Chief of Commissions & Tribunals, Alberta Human Rights Commission

  • Patti Pon, President and CEO, Calgary Arts Development

  • Roy Pogorzelski, Director of Indigenous Student Affairs & Instructor, University of Lethbridge, Board member of Canadian Race Relations Foundation, and member of AB’s Anti-Racism Council
