About this event

Virtual Photovoice is a program that uses photo images and/or video to capture aspects of a participants environment or lived experiences.

The use of photography allows individuals to share with others their perspectives and interests. This virtual program will involve the use of any camera or video camera the participant has available to them (Ie. Phone camera, disposable camera or point and shoot cameras).

Each week will have a new topic to capture, each participant will be able to share their images and the story behind them with the group. Topic examples may include “Your favourite outdoor spot” or “different colour leafs on the trees”.

Participants will use their creativity and interests to capture the topic in an image. Different aspects and beginner skills of photography will be discussed and taught throughout the program.

This program focuses on community engagement, social interactions and skill development. This program is open to clients of TVCC or those eligible to become a TVCC client and live in our geographical area.

No images that involve participants will be shared without express written consent.
