Part 1: February 9, 7 pm – "Fear of Recurrence" - Dr. Karen Zhang will discuss the feelings of anxiety that one can experience after completing treatment. Learn to understand and manage the feeling (and fear) that cancer may have returned .
Part 2: March 9, 7 pm – "Chemo-fog" Dr. Roochi Arora will identify the symptoms of "chemo-fog" or "chemo-brain" that can affect your ability to concentrate , as well as other memory issues after chemotherapy. Learn strategies to manage changes.
Part 3: April 13, 7 pm – "Lymphedema Education" Michele Cardoso will discuss the causes of the swelling that can limit movement, and teach techniques to help control the severity.
This lecture series is presented by Wellwood . All speakers are trusted, active practitioners at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. They provide evidence-based, up-to-date information as respected professionals in their field.
These educational sessions will be offered live through Zoom OR you may request a link to the saved presentation. Attending the live zoom sessions offers you the unique opportunity to ask questions of the speaker through the moderator and chat feature. Please note that if you attend the live Zoom session, your name will be recorded if you use the chat feature, so we suggest you change your screen name once you enter the live Zoom session. You may also send your questions to the speaker prior to the session through frankoff@hhsc.ca. All attendees must register and a link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to you several days prior to the presentations.
