Candid Community Conversation: National Day for Remembrance & Action on VAW

December 6th marks the National Day for Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada. Join WSN and other local York Region agencies supporting survivors of gender-based violence at this educational event. The event will feature a presentation on the history of the National Day for Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women and what the future holds for this day. We will also host a moment of silence for the victims of femicide in Ontario. The event will finish with a Q&A panel with local agencies to discuss what this day means, how the community can get involved and support taking action on violence against women/gender based violence, and much more.
