Event description
The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on all of us. Join us to destress, try something new, and connect with others through an art workshop!

About this event

The last few weeks have been extremely tough with the stress of the end of the school year adding to the stress of the pandemic. Sometimes it’s hard to cope with all of this - the changes in friendships, managing online school, needing to find new hobbies, among may others. If you’re finding everything stressful and overwhelming, you’re not alone!

This workshop is a chance to destress, be mindful, try something new, and connect with other teens! We’ve invited a professional artist to walk you through a cool art project using materials you can find around your house. Whether you’re a beginner or pro, we hope this workshop will give you a well-deserved break and a fun hobby to explore!

You'll be learning about art journaling. It can ease the stresses of life by getting the chaos inside our heads down on paper. We all have a lot to process as this school year comes to an end and it can be challenging to know how to express the vortex of emotions we've been feeling throughout the pandemic. Art journaling allows us to create a deeper sense of self-awareness, empowers us, inspires us, encourages us and can move us forward in powerful ways. Your visual art journal is your own private and personal space where you can write, draw, and create almost anything. It can be extremely freeing, because there are no limits. No RULES!

Please note that this workshop will only run if enough individuals sign up. We will let you know if the event is cancelled in the week before the workshop.

A link to the Zoom meeting will be provided to all individuals who register for the workshop.
