Event description

Description

We are pleased to announce the Capacity Building Sessions for Support Network Members! This is part of CLBC’s ongoing goal of increasing capacity in the region by supporting local service providers to expand the skills and knowledge to provide for the behaviour support needs of individuals with difficult and serious behaviour challenges (as defined in CLBC Policy Document). These free sessions are open to family members, caregivers and support staff.

PERSON CENTERED THINKING

The focus of this session is to review the concept of being person centered and its relevance to the work we do with individuals with disability. Using videos and case examples we will discuss various critical person centered thinking tools that can be incorporated into our daily practice. Participants will be provided with resources to engage their teams in the person-centered thinking and planning process within their respective agencies and programs.
