An introduction to Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art form that combines fight, dance, rhythm, movement and culture. All ages & levels

About this event

Capoeira is a genuinely Brazilian martial fight/dance inherited by African slaves. In addition to fighting, capoeira is culture, dance, history and musicality. It works on your agility, motor coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, creativity, teamwork and especially self-knowledge. Capoeira is an art for all ages and without contraindications.

All ages and levels welcome.

Sessions available until end of June. We will take July and August off.

Ruddy, Formada Xuxa

Ruddy started practicing capoeira in 2002 in São Paulo, Brazil. Graduated in 2015 as a teacher, he has participated in several festivals, championships and workshops during these 20 years of capoeira. Here in Canada, he has been giving classes for a group of 10 people including children and adults, all of them together. This way, parents can watch and play with their kids, and kids can learn with experienced ones.
