This workshop will highlight diverse careers in science communication, and provide you with some fun tips for getting involved in science communication in Toronto!
We are delighted to announce an esteemed panel of speakers for this event:
- Malgosia Pakulska, PhD - Science Communications Specialist Research2Reality; Communications/Development Officer at Fields Institute for Mathematics; Freelance Science Writer
- Ryan Marciniak, M.Sc. - Researcher-Programmer at Ontario Science Centre; Founder of Astronomy in Action
- Elliann Fairbairn - Project Manager at Ontario Institute for Cancer Research; SciComm Toronto chair
- Tyler Irving, M.A.Sc - Communications Officer Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, UofT; Freelance Science Writer
As usual, this event will start with a brief introduction from each speaker about their career trajectories to date, then the floor will be open to the audience for a candid question and answer period. Light snacks + coffee/tea will be provided. Please register via this EventBrite page and arrive at 5:15pm on the day of the event to sign-in.
