Description

Carefree Resilience in the Workplace

What does it mean to be resilient in your life?

It's complex, multi-dimensional and a common buzz word that is often thrown around in leadership training. What does it mean and how do we become more resilient to life ups and downs at work and in our personal lives? Resilience is a skill set that we can enhance with knowledge, self-awareness, application and my all time favourite - trial and error! You are not born with resilience; it's a skill set we develop as we build competencies.

I created this workshop because I genuinely believe that until we focus and learn more about these skill sets and PRACTICE, this is when we grow at rapid speed. The most transformational learning experiences I've had have been through experiential learning, listening to others, practicing and sharing, gaining new insights, increasing self-awareness and being part of a community and safe space in order to do so.

What's the benefit of this leadership skill:

  • Flourish in a continually changing workplace
  • Hold up well under pressure
  • Orient quickly to new demands
  • Adapt to changing circumstances
  • Work without an updated job description

Compliant individuals trained to fit in and follow orders flounder in an environment of non-stop change!

Here are the six skills we will be exploring:

  • Reframe Thinking
  • Clarify Purpose and Meaning
  • Deepen Connectivity
  • Practice Positivity
  • Moderate Stress
  • Manage Emotions

What does this workshop include:

  • An assessment of where you feel currently with these six skills
  • Practice with your peers each category and skill of resilience
  • Gain an understanding of how to apply these skills in the workplace and life
  • Become self-aware of the importance of resilience as a leadership capability
  • Build your toolkit and leave with practical tools you can use to enhance these skill sets and an action plan to continue the learning

Why should you attend?

It's true that most of us intuitively know where we need to develop and grow especially if you are one seeking feedback. Building your resilience will not only help your leadership at work, it will also improve your overall life. People will look at you and say, "Wow. That looks easy." It can be and it starts with understanding where you are and where you want to be.
