ABOUT FAYE REYNOLDS

Faye Reynolds

I met Stephen, my husband of over 30 years in Louisville, Kentucky while attending Southern Baptist Seminary there. We both received our M. Div. in 1985 and have shared in a variety of pastoral ministry experiences in Alberta. We have two adult daughters, Steffi and Teddi who live and work in Lethbridge near us. I grew up in Saskatoon as part of Emmanuel Baptist Church. After graduating with a B.ED, I taught in the Saskatoon school system for three years before deciding to attend seminary, originally to get a Masters of Education but moved into the divinity program. Stephen and I have pastored in Calgary, beginning at Bonavista, BLTS and then First Baptist Church. After that, Stephen was called to Pincher Creek and I volunteered as Music Minister while raising our daughters. In 2001 I accepted the role of Director of Women in Focus with the denomination and over the past years, that role has now morphed into Director of Ministries. In 2005, we relocated to Lethbridge and have been part of First Baptist with Stephen serving as Pastor to the Community. We both love walking, biking, hiking and golfing; snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter.

It is my pleasure to assist our churches and pastors in finding the resources to enhance their ministries, whether connecting you with one of our specialized staff, assisting in exit interviews or offering leader care.

ABOUT SARAH PATTERSON

Sarah Patterson

Born in England, Sarah came to Canada at the age of four, the same year she became a Christian. Her parents both taught at universities in Halifax, Nova Scotia where Sarah grew up. She received a BA in English from Dalhousie University and worked with IVCF where she met Rob, whom she married in 1987.

Sarah and Rob pastored in two churches before going to Kenya with Canadian Baptist Ministries in 1990. They worked with both of CBM’s partner churches in Kenya for almost ten years before returning to Canada in 2000. In 2001 Sarah began a degree in Journalism at Ryerson University and, after graduating, worked for SIM (Serving In Mission) in communications.

While at SIM Sarah discovered her true passion about stories was seeing God in them and walking with people through them, not necessarily writing about them. She then discovered the discipline and ministry of spiritual direction and graduated with her MTS from Tyndale in 2011. Sarah completed her Doctorate of Ministry in 2014. Her project focused on how the discipline of spiritual direction can keep pastors connected to God, their call, and their congregations. She continues to give spiritual direction, especially to Christian leaders and pastors.

Sarah loves God, her husband, her nieces, nephew, and six godsons, as well as reading, writing, long walks, chocolate, BBC miniseries and her iPad.
