Event Information
About this event
The upcoming CCA Workshop will focus on the ways to alleviate homelessness: from emergency shelters, to transitional housing, and integration in social housing.
Kaite Burkholder Harris, Executive Director of the Alliance to End Homelessness, will provide an overview of homelessness in our city and solutions to prevent, reduce and end it.
Sarah Davis of Cornerstone Housing for Women will discuss emergency and supportive housing, and the unique challenges faced by women and gender-diverse individuals experiencing homelessness.
Jayne Stoyles, the new Executive Director of The Ottawa Social Housing Registry will present with Ishbel Solvason, the former Executive Director .
This is a great opportunity to learn firsthand how those in need get connected with emergency housing, supportive housing and/or social housing, and how the Housing Registry operates.
