Event description
Information session about Critical Care Certification and Study Groups run by the CACCN Ottawa Regional Chapter

About this Event

Come find out about CCNC certification and how the CACCN Ottawa Regional Chapter can help you prepare to write your exam in this informal free session. Location is the Ottawa Hospital General Campus, on the second floor in the ICU conference room. Please indicate your attendance via EventBrite. It's okay to come in late if you're coming after shift, and there will be snacks! We will also be trying to broadcast the session on Facebook Live via the chapter page, but it's our first try at this - we hope it works!!

What is the Critical Care Nursing Certification - Canada?

CNCC(C) is a nationally recognized certification, earned by passing a

rigorous exam once the candidate has practiced a minimum number of

critical care hours and studied the exam material, which is outlined by

the CNA and CACCN.

Why should I become certified?

Certification recognizes you as competent and proficient in your

speciality, and is part of professional development. The certification

may help with acquiring a new critical care job across Canada. It is also

a source of accomplishment and demonstrates your dedication to your

nursing specialty.

How do I become certified?

You can write the exam in either the spring (May) or fall (November).

Certification is good for five years, and maintaining certification involves

accumulating CL hours.

Where can I find support with studying?

We're glad you asked... with CACCN study groups! You can also

attend our information session to find out more about the certification

process.
