Event description
Learn about the Western Redcedar tree, tree of life for the Coast Salish peoples.

About this event

Join the Museum of Anthropology to explore the Western Redcedar tree and belongings that have been created from it. This program introduces the importance of Indigenous relationships to the land, the community and ancestral connections and introduces the concept of learning about cultures through their objects and their histories.

Suitable for ages 8 and up. If you are a teacher, please note this is a public program for families. Find more info on how to book a virtual field trip on our website.

While this program is free, our suggested donation is $2 to help us continue to offer these amazing programs from the Ecology Centre!

Sign up for the Zoom link for the live presentation. The link will go out one hour prior to the presentation. Please register only one ticket per device.

Contact edgart@dnv.org if you have any questions about registration or any technical issues on the day of the workshop.
