Celebrate Tammy
Event Information
Description
In mid-February, our dear Tammy learned the pain she was enduring for several months is news that no one wanted to hear. Pancreatic cancer.
She fought has hard as she could but on March 18th, our beautiful Tammy lost her battle.
For those who knew Tammy, there is no disputing there are few women as vibrant, beautiful compassionate, loving and giving as she was. Not only is Tammy a well-known voice and face in the city of Vancouver (Morning Anchor on News1130), she was an amazing single mom to her 7 year old son Emelyan.
In the midst of learning this devastating news, Tammy’s main concern was that of her son and his future. Tammy was obviously completely destroyed at the thought of leaving her son. We assured her that he will be taken care of and have a good life ahead of him. All the proceeds at our "Celebrate Tammy" event will go to a fund for Emelyan's current and future needs.
Tammy has done so many amazing things for the community such as fundraising, charity events and even sponsored a little girl.
We thank you and Tammy thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support and well wishes. There is strength in numbers so let us band together to give Tammy the peace of mind she needs.
If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation, there are two ways:
To donate directly to the Emelyan Moyer Trust Fund for Tammy's son's future: email transfer can be sent to gitoys@telus.net (please remember to send a separate email with security question and answer)
To donate directly to the family to help with their current expenses: www.gofundme.com/tammymoyer (the trust fund for Emelyan and the family gofundme are separate).
Thank you all so much for even reading this and caring about her story. There are so many people that are struggling through cancer and our positive vibes go out to those families as well.
