Description

JOIN US FOR A TORONTO NATIONAL HOUSING DAY CELEBRATION!

When Canada's first-ever National Housing Strategy starts to roll out on April 1, 2018, it will spark new partnerships with private and non-profit sectors, as well as all orders of government, to encourage innovation and improve housing everywhere in Canada. This 10-year, $40-billion plan will ensure every Canadian has a place to call "home."

Come and hear an update on the National Housing Strategy from CMHC, followed by an animated conversation moderated by author, broadcaster and community organizer Jane Farrow, while you enjoy refreshments and music.

Speakers include:

  • Charles MacArthur, CMHC Senior Vice President of Regional Operations and Assisted Housing
  • Sean Gadon, Director, Affordable Housing Office, City of Toronto
  • Heather Tremain, CEO, Options for Homes
  • Jack Winberg, President, Rockport Group
  • Diane Walter, Executive Director, Margaret's
  • Mark Aston, Executive Director, Fred Victor

This evening will address the questions:

What opportunities will the National Housing Strategy bring to Toronto? How will it shape our business and our city? What can we do now to prepare for April 2018 when the funding begins?
