About this event

Edmonton Design Week takes place October 11-15, 2022, with a variety of events happening all week to celebrate design. This year's theme is RECESS - a call to take a break from the daily grind and have some fun exploring art and design.

Do you like exploring this great city and discovering new art? This is the event for you!

The Edmonton Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization that supports and promotes the arts community in Edmonton, and they are leading an Art Walk through the downtown/central area with a heavy focus on Western Canadian artists. This tour will provide a great snapshot to public art through the ages in Edmonton.

Learn about works from:

  • Migratory Path by Catherine Ross
  • E.D. Blodgett poems at Louise McKinney Park
  • Tawatinâ Bridge by David Garneau
  • Best Fronds by Stephanie Johnsson at Muttart Valley Line Stop
  • We Are Here by Mia Weinberg at the Muttart Conservatory
  • Circle of Life by Alex Janvier at the Muttart Conservatory
  • And more!
