The Breakfast Club at William Roper Hull School serves from 10 – 20 community kids each day. They have a hot breakfast every morning and it’s a great way to set the kids up for success in the classroom for the day.
Volunteers work in teams of 2-4 in the school kitchens to make and freeze breakfast items for the kids. Ingredients and stations will be ready for volunteers. Recipes are provided (must follow the Calgary Board of Education's nutritional guidelines). Volunteers can expect to make items like mini pizzas, homemade sausage patties, sweet potato biscuits, breakfast cookies, loaves, muffins, quiches and pancakes.
Turn right at the stop sign, after you turn into campus (http://hullservices.ca/sites/default/files/campus_map_2016.pdf). Continue to the parking lot that is across from Admin and in front of “The House”. Volunteers will go to The House and meet with Ada Nanning @ 9:00. She will give them an overview of Hull and walk with them to the school.
When & Where
Imperial's United Way campaign focuses on investing in our community, be it money or time, to improve lives and help those in need.
Our job as leaders in the community is to set the tone, and help everyone understand the need. This is best done through direct exposure to those who need help. Our page for days of caring will identify and help us participate in lending a hand in improving the lives of those in need.
