Description

An eight week course to help reduce stress and help you connect to your deeper self through the skill of breath focused, heart centered meditation, and gentle movement. Classes are accessible and are suitable for beginners and those who want to deepen their practice.

Stress is a self-created (though not intentional), response pattern that we can change through awareness and practice. The breath controls the central nervous system and our stress response. When our breath is unconciously in a stress 'fight or flight' pattern, it blocks energy flow through the Chakras.

In this course, learn skills to respond to life events that help minimize the stress response. Learn to interrupt patterns of prolonged upset, anxiety, and the feeling of being 'stressed out'.

Acknowledging our emotions is essential to knowing what we want and need in our lives, but chronic negative emotionality causes illness. It's one of the leading causes of diseases like high blood pressure, digestive problems, heart attacks, stress induced diabetes, and a host of other imbalances.

This class is a mix of theory, breathwork, energy flow movement, meditation and finishes with a relaxing restorative pose. Sophie teaches breath awareness that you can do with eyes open, moment to moment in your everyday life so that you begin to live a more peaceful, inwardly calm life.
