Description
IHI UBC is excited to invite UBC and the greater community to an engaging panel event on the "Challenges and Strategies in Delivering Primary Health Care to Marginalized Populations." The event will feature a multidisciplinary panel of speakers from medicine, social work, public policy, as well as a community member who has experienced marginalization. The speakers will present on this topic from their work and experiences in the field, followed by a Q&A session featuring all the panelists.
The event will be interactive, and audience members will have an opportunity to contribute real strategies to improve population health.
Wanda Mullholland from Burnaby Task Force on Homelessness will be speaking about social work, and Natasha Golbeck from Vancouver Coastal Health will be speaking about strategies. Other speakers include Dr. Jane Buxton.
