Chamber for Endogenous DMT (Collapsing the Wave Function)
Event Information
Description
For Haroon Mirza's new commission for the exhibition For A Partnership Society, he is collaborating with researchers from Greenwich University and Imperial College to conduct a unique study. What effect does sensory deprivation have on the human mind?
The Chamber for Endogenous DMT (Collapsing the Wave Function) is light-locked, sound proof room which seeks to understand if altered states of consciousness and hallucinatory effects similar to those induced through mind-altering substances such as DMT can be achieved through prolonged time spent in sensory isolation.
Visitors are invited to experience the chamber individually from 30 minutes upto two hours continuously. If you are interested in contributing to the scientific study, you will be asked to respond to a few questions and describe your experience.
