**NEW!!** Designing for Impact: Behind the Scenes at Grant Blvd

Duration: 10:00 am - 12:45 pm

Guests who join this experience will spend time behind the scenes with Grant Blvd. Founded in 2017, Grant Blvd is a Black women-owned, Philadelphia-based apparel brand & B Corp on a mission to construct truly stylish, sustainably sourced fashion, while also partnering to design textiles for the hospitality sector. They believe that if we demand more, if we think differently about not only what we buy, but who we buy from- we have the power to challenge not only the social issues exacerbated by mass incarceration, but to more meaningfully address the climate crisis.

As a part of this tour you'll travel to their design studio to learn from their Founder about the brand's origin story and their vision for the future of textiles manufacturing. You'll also hear from Grant Blvd's Director of Design about their creative approach to fashion design. The experience concludes with a viewing of a fashion retrospective (exhibit) of very special garments from the last five years.

Morals & Murals

Duration: Morning - 9:30 am – 1 pm (sold out) & Afternoon - 1:00 - 4:30 pm

Did you know, Philadelphia is known as the “Mural Capital of the World” with over 4,000 works of community-based public art? Join Philly Experiences for an impactful tour experience! This three-hour storytelling journey using public transportation through West & North Philly. This experience includes honest, immersive conversation about Black beauty and resilience, gentrification, oppression, trauma/mental health, and local Black muralists. One day Philadelphia transit passes, and local snacks are included.

Gayborhood Tour

Duration: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Get under the skin of queer Philly! Join us as we discover the controversies, paradoxes, and hidden histories of the only formalized Gayborhood in the country.

Learn about:

The evolution of Pride: from protest to parade;

Kiyoshi Kuromiya: Inventor, Architect, Activist;

The nation's longest continuously operating LGBTIA-focused bookstore;

Barbara Gittings, LGBTQIA Pioneer;

Controversies of Racism in the Gayborhood;

A tribute to Gloria Casarez;

Lunch: Simply Good Jars provided for lunch upon departure from Loews.

Badass Women’s History Tour

Duration: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm

Get to know Untours and Beyond the Bell Tours as we take in the ways in which women have influenced and formed the city of Philadelphia; The incredible entrepreneurs, doctors, politicians, artists, and activists that have made the city what it is today. Hear stories you won’t hear anywhere else!

The tour includes a visit to B Corp United by Blue for a warm cup of coffee before setting off on the Badass Women’s History Tour.

Learn about the Women Who Shaped Philadelphia History Including:

Hannah Callowhill Penn, our forgotten founder;

Ona Judge and her great escape from George Washington;

Barbara Gittings, lesbian pioneer;

Women in Medicine;

Women in Art: The Red Rose Girls; and

LGBTQIA leaders in the Gayborhood.

Let’s direct the energy and enthusiasm of Champions Retreat towards making a positive impact in a local Philly community. Join Terrill Haigler (aka Ya Fav Trashman), Five Below, Sharing Excess, plus B Corps Simply Good Jars and Saxbys in an event supporting the Point Breeze community with groceries and toys for kids in time for the holidays.

Enjoy a coffee tasting and tour of Saxbys sustainable roastery before spending a few hours assembling grocery and children’s toy packages donated by Sharing Excess and Five Below.

Morning Session: 9:30 am - 12:15 pm

Use your caffeine fix as fuel and join forces with Terrill, the Saxbys leadership team, and Sharing Excess to distribute groceries to Point Breeze community members. Simply Good Jars will be providing lunch upon your departure from Saxbys.

Afternoon Session: 12:30 - 3:15 pm

Use your caffeine fix as fuel to meet community members and give away toys in partnership with Five Below. Simply Good Jars will be providing lunch upon your departure from the hotel.
