Chefly Screenshots II is a collaboration between Six Degrees Music & Sound, Ramin Eshraghi-Yazdi (NUR Films), and City Palate Magazine/The Cookbook Company, in a cultural cocktail that blends Calgary’s culinary, film, and music communities in one live event.
Sixteen of Calgary's top chefs are captured performing one of their many culinary specialties in a short screenshot by filmmaker Ramin Eshraghi-Yazdi. These short films are used for inspiration as some of Calgary's best songwriters create original compositions for each screenshot. The process comes together live at Commonwealth Bar & Stage on November 3 as the films will be screened while local artist Chris Vail and accompanying musicians live-score each screenshot, while the chefs are on hand to provide cooresponding culinary treats.
