About this event
In this class, River City Chickens will build on the topics covered in their "Chickens 101" class. We will take an indepth look at some urban coop designs, using video tours of Edmonton coops. We'll also cover practical aspects of hen-keeping, including handling of hens, husbandry, and general health care, including wing, nail and beak care.
Previous participation in "Chickens 101", or some hen-keeping knowledge, is recommended.
The class is neither required, nor approved, to obtain a hen license for the cities of Edmonton , St Albert, Airdrie or Leduc. No certificate of attendance will be provided. A "Chickens 101" class that is approved for obtaining hen licenses in these cities will be held in the fall.
