About this Event

Social and Emotional Learning Supports for CHILD HONOURING classrooms! This FULL DAY workshop designed for elementary school educators - based on Raffi's philosophy of Child Honouring and it's 9 principles - offers practical, inspiring ways to explore social and emotional learning in your classroom.

Special presenters are Raffi, the visionary behind Child Honouring (recipient of the 2019- Thakore Visiting Scholar Award for his lifelong focus on "honouring children," education, and the promotion of an overall "culture of peace", the Order of Canada, the Order of BC, the U.N. Earth Achievement Award, and four honorary degrees), and Kristin Wiens, Educator and Inclusion Coach with SD 62, and co-creator of the online course in Child Honouring.

Doors will open at 8:30am with coffee, tea, and snacks. Lunch is also included!

Parking Information at University of Victoria

  • Parking Monday-Friday in general parking lots requires a valid permit
  • Permits are $1.50/hr or $8.00/day from 12am-6pm
  • Permits purchased from pay-parking machines are valid only in areas labeled "General Parking" (blue signage), not in reserved areas (red signage)
