ChildKind International - dedicated to improving the quality of pediatric pain care around the world - is excited to announce our inaugural workshop on managing pediatric pain and becoming ChildKind Certified!

In an effort to provide guidance and focus to institutions seeking to improve their pediatric pain management practices and apply for ChildKind Certification, ChildKind is bringing together leading experts in the field of pediatric pain management to share their experiences, and discuss important topics and challenges facing our community.

Keynote Speakers include:

  • Gary Walco, PhD, Director of Pain Medicine, Seattle Children’s Hospital
  • Bonnie Stevens, RN, PhD, ChildKind Certification Committee Chair, Associate Chief of Nursing Research and Senior Scientist in the Research Institute at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids)

Additionally, for those interested in participating in workshops to advance their application for ChildKind Certification, there will be the opportunity to do so alongside leading experts in the field.

Location Details:

Event will be held at in the Holizer Room at Ashdown House, MIT, in Cambridge, MA, and will run from Friday morning, August 18th to Saturday, August 19th, 2017.

Accomodations:

A block of hotel rooms (single king size beds) are available at a group rate of $199 per night, with Le Meridien, Cambridge on a first come first serve basis. If you areinterested in shared rooms, and/or traveling with family, please include those arrangements at the time of booking - same rates per room will apply.

Transit:

When flying into the Boston area, the appropriate airport is Boston Logan, and the code when booking flights to this airport is BOS.

Transportation is not included in the price of admission. The airport, hotel and event locations are all within close proximity local train and bus routes, and ChildKind recommends Uber for the best rates on private transportation. Le Meridien Hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from Ashdown House.

Admission Prices:

The cost of admission is $200 per person, or $500 for a team of 3 or more from one institution, and includes breakfast both event days, and lunch on Friday, August 17th.

If purchasing a group rate ticket, please notify the Program Director, Kerri Kivolowitz (info@childkindinternational.org), at the time of purchase and include the names, titles and contact information of all those who will be attending.

Refunds are available up till 30 days prior to the event.
