About this Event
This event will also be streamed live on Facebook.
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, She’s4Sports and Canadian Women & Sport are hosting a virtual panel to discuss how leaders in sport are using their voices and advocacy to drive equity and inclusion and to challenge inequity in the current sport landscape.
Our panelists will share some of their journey in sport with moderator Ainka Jess, Founder of She's4Sports. The discussion will focus on how these leaders in sport are using their platform to drive change and challenge barriers that prevent women, girls and people from marginalized spaces from participating in sport. Our panelists are:
- Jennifer King, NFL Assistant Running Backs Coach, Washington Football Team, and the first African American female Assistant Coach in NFL history
- Jocelyne Larocque, 2X Olympic medallist and Professional Ice Hockey Player
- Jennifer Reynolds, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Lead, MLSE
- Fitriya Mohamed, Founder & Executive Director, Muslim Summer Women’s Basketball League
The panel will take place from 6:00 - 7:00 PM ET, followed by a 30 minute Q&A. Register to reserve your spot!
