About this event

Resilience is the difference between success and burn-out in today’s business world. In these challenging times of stress and constant change, join other women entrepreneurs for a 90-minute workshop led by Registered Social Service Worker Julie Sweeney.

In this online workshop, you will learn how to build resilience by:

• Developing a healthy relationship with success

• Trusting your intuition

• Becoming more aware of your personal roadblocks

• And creating a consistent self-care practice

Take part in this interactive presentation and grow your resilience skill set as we make our way through the challenges of COVID-19 into a healthier, more hopeful future.

NOTE: Attendees will be emailed a Zoom link to the online session two hours before the event.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:Julie Sweeney, RSSW, MTC is a client-centered, solution-focused counsellor who specializes in supporting women in finding freedom for themselves.

Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a social service worker and the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (ACCT) as a Master Therapeutic Counsellor, Julie offers openness, honesty, and a willingness to be part of your journey in a way best suited to your needs.

Using a HAES-based lens aimed at helping clients feel less alone in their struggles with body image, Julie offers women the opportunity to develop new skills and ways of thinking.

Outside of her specialty with body image and self-esteem, she also works with clients experiencing anxiety, focusing on self-care and changing negative coping habits. Julie works with clients one-on-one, in workshops, and in groups, both in person and online.

ABOUT THE WE-CAN PROJECT:

The WE-CAN Project is led by Queen’s University and supported by the Government of Canada. Its mission is to inspire and empower existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing them with tools, resources, expert mentors, networks and community building to expand existing businesses and to launch new ventures.

The Government of Canada, through FedDev Ontario’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) Ecosystem Fund is providing $3.2 million for Queen’s University to design and deliver programs and services to accelerate, train, mentor and provide resources to women entrepreneurs and women-led companies in the community.

The focus of the WES strategy is to provide support to women entrepreneurs from diverse and underrepresented groups.
