About our chef Dee:
Prior to working in food production with Blue Heron Cheese, Dee spent 16 years of their career working in catering, restaurants, and banquets. Not only is Dee passionate about food but is also passionate about sharing their food cultures as this is what they miss most about their home country, Philippines. Dee moved to Canada at the age of 10 to a small town in northern BC. In order to fit in they assimilated them self in a culture that was not their own. As a chef their mission is to reconnect with the Filipino culture through food and adapting some of their favourites into a plantbased alternatives.
Here’s a little bit about each company:
Kula Kitchen is a plant-based food producer offering meat alternatives, stews, sauces and meals in British Columbia.
Elbo Patties brings Jamaican patties, coco bread, chutneys and sauces to the people of Vancouver British Columbia.
