Description

The Data Imperative in the Post-Covid Economy

Early on in this century, a quiet revolution took place: businesses began putting more money and resources into developing things you can’t see. Uber doesn’t own cars. Airbnb doesn’t own properties. Rather, these two companies have grown exponentially through their data and software.

Join us for a free community event led by CIGI experts: Bob Fay, Director of Research for Digital Economy, and Dan Ciuriak, Senior Fellow. They will explain how data has changed the economy and how COVID-19 has expedited the digital transformation. Hear how policy will require even greater focus on the data-driven economy in order to ensure long-term growth in a post-COVID world.

This event will take place virtually via the Zoom Video Conferencing platform. Please register via this Eventbrite page, and the Zoom link for the presentation will be shared with you by email 48 hours prior to the start of the event. If not already installed, you will be prompted to install the application before you will be able to access the livestream. Questions can be submitted using the Q&A functionality within the Zoom platform once you join the call.
