Description

Photographic Exhibition of City of Yazd

While travelling across the city of Yazd, Yousof Kashefifar, the Artist, discovered a beautiful city hidden in the desert. The historic city of Yazd, made by clay and the 2nd ancient city in the world after Venice, is located in the middle of the Iranian plateau, 270 km southeast of Isfahan, close to the Spice and Silk Roads. Yazd is known for its traditional districts, the qanat system, traditional houses, bazars, hammams, mosques, synagogues, Zoroastrian temples and the historic garden of Dolat-abad.

Historically, Yazd was a halt on what was once the main trade route across southern Iran. It was spared destruction at the hands of the Mongols, and Marco Polo, who stopped there about 1272 AD, lauded Yazd as a “good and noble city”, noted for its fine silks.

The artist, generously shares his experience and all those beauties with who had not the chance to know it. The photos include major architectural phenomena

Yousof Kashefifar, is an Iranian-Canadian artist. He studied architecture and photography. His experinene is on Architecture, Interior design, Thethre decoration and Photography. He had more than four exhibitions across the world.
