Event description

Description

Dear Urban Forest Managers, Stewards, and Advocates:

The Citytrees Project invites you to participate in one of three morning workshops being held across Southern Ontario during the last week of August. A fourth workshop is scheduled for mid-September in the format of a webinar.

Citytrees is an open-access, fun and engaging, urban forest mapping, management and educational tool. It has been developed over the last several years by Professor Andrew Millward of Ryerson University’s Urban Forest Research & Ecological Disturbance (UFRED) Group and by Codetuitive, an app development company based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Citytrees is user-friendly and has been designed to scale from the individual user to the municipality.

For more information about Citytrees, please check out our video: www.citytrees.ca/welcome

The workshops will include an overview and demonstration of Citytrees by its developers, as well as a guided session designed to capture stakeholder opinion, recommendations for enhancing Citytrees function and delivery, and solutions for sustaining an open-access environmental engagement tool.

Please reply RSVP to this event brite or email us if you or a representative from your organization, is interested in attending a workshop. The Citytrees Team will then follow-up with additional details.

Kind Regards,

The Citytrees Team
