Our Civil Engineering team is back in Oshawa for a half-day seminar, helping you use Civil 3D better for your next project!
Session 1: The Power of Point Clouds in Civil 3D (9:00 am -10:00 am)
Point clouds are a dense collection of points created by 3D scanners used to capture existing conditions.
Whether the scans are created using stationary, mobile or even aerial drone methods Civil 3D can use this cloud data to create terrain surfaces. It can also be imported into a variety of other Autodesk products to be used to develop other objects, models and visualizations.
Join us for a 60 minute workshop that goes through the workflow process to import, manage, index, manipulate and create Civil 3D objects from point cloud data, while incorporating the data into a variety of Autodesk software that can support the development of preliminary designs through to validating final construction.
Session 2: Quantity Takeoff in Civil 3D (10:15 am – 11:00 am)
The Quantity Takeoff tools in AutoCAD Civil 3D provide methods to extract quantities from Civil 3D and AutoCAD objects within drawing files and can generate Quantity Takeoff Reports in a variety of formats.
You will learn techniques for creating, modifying and customizing pay items and pay item categorization files. Find out how you can assign pay items to Civil 3D and AutoCAD via manual and automatic methods. Attend this session to learn how to take full advantage of the built-in Quantity Takeoff tools available in Civil 3D!
Session 3: Civil 3D Secrets Revealed! Tips and Tricks to make you more productive (11:15 am – 12:00 pm)
Ever want to dive into all those hidden gems in Civil 3D and AutoCAD?
Join us for this 60 minute rapid-fire session that reveals all the hidden and undocumented tips, tricks and functionality in Civil 3D. From the Settings through Styles to Commands and Corridors objects, there is a lot to discover that will make both you and your team more productive!
