Launched last fall, Cleavers & Cocktails at micro has been a success from the first drop of the knife.
Cleavers & Cocktails pits the chef and the bartender from two restaurants against each other to create both a cocktail and two plates that must pair. A fun twist to the battle is that each team will bring secret ingredients to challenge their opposing chef and bartender and both teams MUST use all the ingredients. Those secret ingredients must be selected carefully to hopefully throw their competitor a curve ball while giving themselves an ‘edge’ in the competition.
Cleavers & Cocktails returns Sunday, October 23 and Sunday, November 13 at 7 pm.
Competitors for October 23 are Chef James Holmes of Craft Corner Kitchen in Penticton vs. Chef Chris Braun of micro bar & bites.
Competitors for November 13 are Chef Alex Lavroff of Summerhill Pyramid Winery vs. Chef Adam Relvas of Relvas Catering.
During the evening there will be bar snacks/ charcuterie available plus 2 grazing stations with hot and cold food and small desserts. Following the competition we will remain open with our $5 happy hour menu and $2 off tap beer.
