Humber Masterclass Workshop Series:  Close-up / Macro Photography at Brickworks

The world of macro photography is very exciting! There are so many wonderful photographic opportunities around us that are completely hidden until we start looking for them. Everything from peeling paint, rusting metal, to flowers and bugs and everything in between is great subject matter. Once you become one with macro photography, it’s hard to pull yourself away. You’ll spend plenty of time searching for the small details in things around you.

If you’re interested in learning the art of macro photography, or just want a great opportunity to photograph all day with like-minded people, this workshop is a must! To get the most out of close-up/macro photography, you will need some specific camera gear. If you don't already have a dedicated macro lens, then a set of automatic extension tubes will be a great way to allow you to focus close. Using a tripod is also a good idea for macro subjects that aren’t moving. This workshop will be held at the Brickworks as there is a nice combination of urban and natural subject matter.
