Closer to the Heart VIII

Closer to the Heart returns with its 8th installment, to raise money for the Regent Park School of Music, which provides heavily subsidized music lessons to 1400 at-risk youth all over Toronto. Your favourite singers get up with our fabulous all-star house band, and sing 2 of their favourite Canadian cover songs. It's a great way for the established Toronto music community to give back to the up-and-coming next generation of musicians.

This year's line-up features Dave Diamond (The Kings), Kevin Kane (Grapes of Wrath), Tara Slone (ex-Joydrop, co-host Roger's Hometown Hockey), Steve Stanley (ex-Lowest of the Low), Sean Cullen (The Producers, CBC TV), Justin Nozuka, Hill Kourkoutis (Hill & The Sky Heros, Serena Ryder), Julian Taylor (Staggered Crossing) and Maranda Thomas (Lost & Found Music Studios TV series). All the fun is hosted by Diego Fuentes, a 13-year veteran of MuchMusic's world music show, Clip Trip (and an actor who has starred alongside Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Kate Hudson and Jamie Foxx). It's going to be a BLAST!
