At the event, the artists will explain their vision regarding the current shows, and address questions from visitors in an intimate night to celebrate art.

The event will be hosted at the Massy Arts Gallery, at 23 East Pender Street in Chinatown, Vancouver. The closing reception event is free + open to all community, and registration is mandatory.

Covid update: Due to the latest recommendations from the BC Health Authority, all guests attending in-person events at Massy Arts require double-vaccination and must wear a mask.

“開 門 ( Open )” is a site-specific piece that utilizes discarded material from garments that have history from the artist’s family, and relate to Chinatown. At the exhibition, the materials are arranged and pieced together to form a three-dimensional portrait of the neighborhood.
