Event description

CBSR's fourth Professional Network Group call of 2017, titled " Closing The Loop in Your Operations" is intended for operations management professionals and sustainability practitioners. Guest Speaker, Mikhael Metauro (Cascades Inc.) will provide insight into how Canadian companies are utilizing closed-loop thinking to improve business processes while reducing environmental and social impacts.

Cascades Inc. was founded on using discarded materials in making new products. Since inception, the Lemaire brothers focused on finding value in what most people just deemed as “waste”. This Circular, or “Closed Loop” thinking paved the way allowing Cascades to become a leading manufacturer and seller of recycled products, a major collector of recyclable materials and a re-processor of those materials back into the marketplace.

Guest Speakers:

Having been involved with the Cascades for more than 15 years, Mikhael Metauro works within the Recovery division of Cascades focusing on Business Development and Corporate Strategy. With an undergraduate degree in Strategic Selling & Marketing, Mikhael helps a wide range of customers from different market segments and backgrounds manage various types of discarded material recovery needs. “Its amazing to see how more and more organizations are focusing on sustainability and have put the people power in place to start thinking about better ways to recover more and waste less”.
