Description
The next Speaker Series Event hosted by the Privacy and Big Data Institute at Ryerson University invites you to attend a lecture which addresses how Cloud Computing is changing the technology landscape.
Speaker Chris Chadwick, a Director at Silicon Valley-based software firm, Box, will provide a glimpse into how “Software-as-a-Service” (SaaS) or “cloud” products are being used by millions of people around the world to transform the way we interact with one another. Ranging from Salesforce.com to Uber and Facebook, we will examine how cloud technology companies have emerged following the “Dot Com Bubble” of the late 1990s during a period when instant gratification and on-demand needs are greater than ever. This discussion will also explore how major economic trends are driving companies to leverage cloud technology as a productivity enabler and cost reduction mechanism.
Chris serves as a Director at Silicon Valley-based software firm, Box, where he leads the Value Management practice and is focused on helping clients understand how cloud technology can be used to transform business models. He holds over a decade of experience working across the energy, manufacturing, and financial services industries, having managed global engagements in North America and Europe
